The
Code of Conduct Tribunal, CCT’s proposed arrest of the Senate
President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, was on Monday morning stopped by the Court
of Appeal sitting in Abuja.
DAILY
POST recalls that the tribunal had on Friday issued the warrant for
Saraki’s arrest following his failure to honour its invitation. Chairman
of the Tribunal, Justice Danladi Umar, had directed the Inspector
General of Police, Solomon Arase, to effect the arrest of Saraki and
produce him before the Tribunal on Monday.
But as at Sunday, the police said it was yet to receive official communication from the Tribunal regarding Saraki’s arrest.
