This loyal pet gives a new definition
to the phrase 'guard dog' as he watches over his pregnant owner and attacks her
boyfriend any time he tries to lay a hand on her baby bump.
The dog is not vicious and is not a danger to anyone. He simply has decided no one should be messing with that belly!' he writes.
The couple is believed to be
American.
Dogs closely observe their owners and
their usual patterns of behavior so when owners start to act differently, the
dogs notice.
The animals can pick up changes in a
woman's body language and a change in the attitude of others toward her when
she becomes pregnant.
Dogs can then become more aware and
protective of their owners, even barking at other family members, including the
baby's father.
Many dogs return to normal behavior
once the baby is born, but it's thought to be better to stick to normal
routines during pregnancy so dogs don't have to cope with big changes.
